John Tuba is the CEO and founder of Tuba Group. He is responsible for the firm’s strategic direction, business development, and successful delivery of client services, including oversight of project management, quality assurance, and final issuance of all deliverables and reports. With a desire to deliver customer focused technical solutions centered around an employee friendly work environment, John founded Tuba Group in 2002.
John has over 19 years of experience in public accounting, providing Federal Government audit, advisory, and accounting services. During his 19 year career, John has briefed senior corporate and government officials on financial matters. Prior to founding Tuba Group, John was employed with a “Big Four” accounting firm financial audits. John holds a Masters of Business Administration degrees from Georgetown University’s McDonough School, Washington DC and ESADE Business School, Barcelona Spain. John also holds a Bachelors of Science in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University.
David has over 25 years of experience providing consulting and assurance services to the public and private sector. He is responsible for overseeing the firm’s delivery of audit and assurance services to governmental and private clients. David has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of the District of Columbia and holds CPA licenses in Maryland and Virginia. David joined the Tuba Group in 2016.
Mr. Mamun comes with nearly three decades of energy services and engineering experience working in various energy leadership positions at fortune 100 utilities. He played a significant role in strategic business development and thought leadership roles at private environmental, engineering, and research firms with global breadth. Mr. Mamun’s experience includes working with small businesses providing resource efficiency and energy resiliency project development services to the Department of Defense as well as some of its service headquarters and installations. Mr. Mamun was the top of his class at the Executive MBA at Pace University New York and has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Idaho. He was the founder and President of Bangladesh Student Association while at the University of Idaho. Mr. Mamun contributed to discussions at the World Economic Forum and has held advisory roles at the Association of Energy Engineers. His lifetime contribution to the energy industry earned him the prestigious "Legend of Energy" recognition from AEE.
Shirley has over fifteen years of experience in the human resources profession that spans across all facets of human resources management; this includes the areas of strategy development, establishing and implementing human resources policies and practices, and talent management at several national companies. She believes a good human resources department is critical to the success of the organization. In her most recent position, Shirley was the human resources manager for a regional CPA firm supporting the Federal government in Washington DC.
Mr. Hervey Tuba guides Tuba Group’s Corporate Support functions, managing administrative and technical support functions. Mr. Hervey Tuba has over 13 years of varied experience supporting federal contractors as well as working directly with Federal agencies providing information system, information technology, administrative, and managerial support, and is a proud graduate of Virginia Tech, Blacksburg Virginia.
